What We Do

  • Electromagnetic Induction

We use electromagnetic induction (EMI) technology to detect and map subsurface metallic objects without disturbing the ground. From buried tanks and drums to pipelines and other ferrous materials, we help you identify hidden metal hazards before excavation or development begins.

  • Pre-site investigations

We conduct comprehensive pre-site investigations to identify potential subsurface risks before construction or development begins. From buried utilities and storage tanks to unknown obstructions and soil concerns, we help you understand site conditions early so you can plan with confidence.

    Private Utility Locating

We use a combination of electromagnetic (EM) locating and ground penetrating radar (GPR) to find and mark private underground utilities before you dig, drill, or trench. From power and gas to communications and water, we help you know what’s below.

    Subsurface Mapping & Documentation

Paint on the ground doesn’t last—maps do. We can capture utility locations and depths and deliver simple site sketches or digital files your team can reference on future work, reducing guesswork on every project that follows.

  • Underground Consultation

We provide underground consultation services to help you assess subsurface risks before excavation or development begins. From utility mapping and tank locating to site planning and regulatory considerations, we help you make informed decisions about what lies below.

    Underground Storage Tank Locates

We use a combination of electromagnetic (EM) locating and ground penetrating radar (GPR) to detect and outline underground storage tanks before excavation or construction begins. From abandoned fuel tanks to active petroleum and water storage systems, we help you identify what’s buried below.

Why Private Utility Locating Matters

Multiple electric meters aligned in a grid on a gray wall, each with a round glass cover, digital display, and identification labels.
  • Striking a buried line can mean injuries, evacuations, and serious liability. Our technicians help you protect your crew and everyone on site.

  • A single hit can cost far more than a locate—repairs, downtime, fines, and lost production. We help you prevent the problem instead of paying for it.

  • Unexpected utilities shut projects down. We identify and clearly mark private lines so your dig, drill, or trench can move forward with confidence.

How it Works

Step 1 – Request a Locate

Send us your site address, plans, and dig area. We’ll confirm details, coordinate around your 811 ticket, and schedule a visit that fits your timeline.

Step 2 – We Scan & Mark

On site, our technicians use the right mix of EM locating, GPR, and field experience to locate private utilities. We clearly mark found lines and features so your crews can see exactly what’s underground.

Step 3 – You Dig with Confidence

With clear markings—and optional documentation for your records—you can move forward knowing you’ve taken the right steps to reduce risk and protect your people, project, and property.

FAQs

  • Yes. Private utility locating is not a replacement for 811. You’re still required to call 811 before digging so the public utilities can mark the lines they own. We come in to locate the private lines that 811 doesn’t cover.

  • We recommend reaching out as soon as you know your dig date. Depending on workload and site location, we can often accommodate projects within a few days.

  • Site address, a description of your planned work, the area to be scanned, and any existing drawings or as-builts you have. The more information you share, the more efficient and accurate we can be.

  • Yes. Our technicians are used to working around active operations, contractors, and plant protocols. We’ll coordinate with you to minimize disruption.
